Founded as a Private Members Association, we operate in our sacred honor and strive to be truthful, constructive, and cooperative with fellow members and within the community. We provide tools & resources to connect and coordinate with others through featuring community-generated events, supporting local businesses, investing in community projects, and other ways to live and flourish in this beautiful place we call home.

Welcome to an experiment in social coordination, one which promotes human flourishing, self-direction, and is free from censorship. For the last several years we've been building the framework of an association to support human thriving in the San Juan Archipelago. ARK Social is a cooperative devoted to creating a thriving local region where individuals, businesses and communities have access to the resources needed for healthy living and working.
Vision: ARK Social will connect individuals who can govern themselves cooperatively, who communicate & coordinate actions effectively, and who wish to participate in a local economy. We take responsibility to thrive together and promote life everywhere. We offer access to resources that support individuals in a flourishing community and encourage stewardship of resources and the protection of life.
ARK Social promotes peaceful action with these three concepts:

Resolve – Never give up.
Kindness – Treat others as you would wish to be treated.
We are working to build a buoyant community, one that thrives on top of the froth and turbulence of life in the San Juan Islands, one that can adapt to change and bridge differing perspectives to bring people together to meet our individual and common needs.
